Hello
there Shabby Chic Lovers. My name is Jennifer. I am the creator of
this website and store. I have been in business for 11 years now. It
is my passion and desire to make all things beautiful in which were
discarded and unwanted.
Taking old wood,
thrown out furniture, salvaged architectural items and transforming
into what you find here. The store's inventory is 75% handmade or
repurposed items. There is a very feminine and romantic feel in the
store.
I have loved doing
this from the minute I started. And I started in my garage making a
single item for myself. When a neighbor saw what I had done, she
wanted one for herself and commissioned me to build the same table for
her. Well, a friend of hers wanted one, then I found eBay. I sold on
eBay for a long time all the while I was working a full time job.
Pretty soon I was making as much money selling on eBay as I was
bringing home a paycheck. So eventually I quit getting a regular
paycheck and built the website. It was so much fun the very
first time I got an order. I just couldn't believe it.
Then several years
went by and I needed a larger place to hold everything I was building.
So having a store front kind of sounded good. I still feel that
sometimes I am living in a fairytale life. It is a gift from God that
I am able to do something with my hands and love every minute of it. I
thank Him daily for it.
And I thank you for
visiting the website and the store.
